Storm of the Pacific" is a strategy simulation game that recreates the battle conditions of the Pacific War through numerous campaigns and approximately 370 types of weapons, including the Battleship Yamato and unfinished weapons that were never completed in the history of the war.

Players are in charge of either the Japanese or American camps. The objective of the game is to direct operations to important bases and fleets, secure resources, and ultimately capture important bases such as the enemy camp's capital. The PS2 version of the game also features a new 3D battle fighting scene and a new viewpoint change function that allows players to change the camera viewpoint during the battle fighting.
